Byron Bay is an especially picturesque place on a sunny day.  These pictures were taken on Sunday (8th March 2009) all at the top end of  town.

The Wreck is an iconic Byron Surf spot named after the vessel Wollongbar which broke from its moring and sank during a cyclone in 1922.

Fiercely defended building restrictions help Byron Bay fend off high rise development.  The low roof lines contribute greatly to the relaxed  feel of this special little town.

One of the ever popular ways to spend a Sunday.  Ocean views and live music.  Someone’s got to do it!
